A Vision For Humanity
The Center for Purposeful Living
The Center for Purposeful Living and Its 35 member core group pledges this vision for humanity; which in its essence represents the guiding principles of its program for the training of world servers.
For humanity, being satisfied with what we are now is to remain unchanged. Yet, evolution means that everything in the world is changing, however slowly that may be in some forms. Pushing against who we have been means expanding the envelope of consciousness towards that which we are intended to be. And when humanity breaks out of our present habits, we will find yet more spaces that our consciousness can occupy. Being subject to evolution is not drudgery; it’s a dynamic, ongoing process that we either cooperate with and embrace, or we force evolution itself to drag us along kicking and screaming.
Until recent times, liberation was an individual accomplishment. No longer is that to continue. Spiritual growth now requires that our striving for liberation be done in groups. There are several reasons for that, but an important one for us to consider now is that pushing against the ego’s resistance requires more energy and force than heretofore. The ego is stronger, and better able to resist and rebel; there are more opportunities to stray, to procrastinate, to deny, to avoid; so that when one is truly ready to PUSH, not unlike at childbirth, more energy is needed hence, being in a group, provides the extra energy.
As we expand our consciousness to its present virtual individual maximum, we come to see that to accomplish an even greater expansion requires group energy to be successful. No one can wield enough energy alone to reach into and up to the next level of where human consciousness can now reach through cooperative group work. Evolution does not now intend for or aid the individual to do so. The time has come, therefore, for aspiring individuals to form groups or units of soulful energy; energy that is essentially free of the normal personality stuff, the contamination of victim, blame, criticism, “me-ism,” self-centeredness, materiality, or of “being somebody,” that has characterized the human personality for ever so many lifetimes.
It is a future that needs many volunteers and group-thinking souls to join the ranks of the daring so that there is enough energy to make the next big push. A push that will not need some individual name attached, neither a Buddha, Christ, or other avatar, but groups of mentally polarized people whose hearts are open, whose minds are ablaze and whose souls have sent the message that it is time. It is time to rise up and walk—not run—steadily toward the direction the Soul of Humanity decrees.
