What a wonderful idea for each of us to articulate our Vision for Humanity and how much there is to learn from one another. 

My vision for Humanity is that there be a worldwide recognition of the essential unity underlying all creation.  We are all made of Cosmic Stuff; indeed there is no other stuff for anything to be made from!  All in Cosmos including everything on our planet stem from the same Source. Mystics and sages have told us for a very long time that there is only ONE unity and that ALL is a part of it­—the Oneness of all Being.  Science has now confirmed that all is energy and there are no hard and fast lines in the Universe.  If we could 'see' energetically we would see that we live in a Sea of Energy, that all is connected.   As more and more of us are able to transcend the apparent separations and divisions that our lower senses perceive and have this recognition of essential unity and wholeness, we can begin to live our lives accordingly.  We will see the more complete display of Brotherhood in action, as well as a reverence for all life, which includes the plants, animals and environment. The Era of true Brotherhood will be based on the mass recognition of essential unity.  

Although each person must reach up into the higher part of themselves to begin to sense this unity and thus become a Light Bearer, those who have already at least partially done so can greatly help to stimulate the process in others.  This is our highest duty, for only as the consciousness of humanity is lifted will Light, Love and Power be brought down onto earth and affect the Whole of our Planetary Life. 

What is humanity’s destiny on this planet? Perhaps before we can envision what we could do, we need to remind ourselves just who we are and what we are doing here.   Many believe that the ultimate spiritual destiny of a human being is to return in consciousness to the Source Whence we Came.  Many are recognizing that there is only ONE, and that all that exists is a part of that One, and that WE ARE THAT ONE Universe functioning through the part of itself called human. So in an ultimate sense we are the Universe itself becoming self-conscious.  In a practical sense, however, we are what we think we are.  Our beliefs drive our behavior.

Are we congeries of atoms, cells, and chemicals operating as a human physical body?  Yes.

Are we beings with feelings, moods, and high and low desires driven by personal likes and dislikes? Yes.

Are we intelligent beings with minds that allow us to perceive the world around us and interpret it through the prism of our own background and education, believing that we are our genetics or nationality or race or ethnic group or set of thoughts? Yes

Are we souls—the higher nature that bestows upon those who contact it the Good, the Beautiful and the True, where all humanity is known as One—the true Christ consciousness?  Yes.

Are we spirits that are connected to the Universal Life?  Yes.

ARE WE THE LIFE ITSELF?  YES!

Each of these identifications and more are part of the steps that we all are taking in our long journey back to the One Life that sent us forth.   We are part of the One Life that informs all that is; we ARE that Life in our essential Being.   

This mystery of who and what we are is what the Sphinx was asking; it is at the heart of the Masonic mysteries; it is the ultimate in the Oracle's statement "Man, know thyself"; it is the definition of Gnosis: direct knowledge of God through awareness of the divine spark within. Valentinus taught that gnosis was the privileged "knowledge of the heart" or insight about the spiritual nature of the Cosmos.  It takes the heart to know and the illumined mind to interpret.

This essential identity of Mankind is the basis of many of the world's teachings, such as Sufism; the Jewish Kabala; the Yoga (union with the Divine) of the Hindus; the ultimate enlightenment of the Buddhists; the merging with God (through Christ) that some Christian sects believe possible for all mankind; the "as above so below" of Hermetic philosophy, and so very many more. .  According to some of the best and brightest philosophers and now scientific thinkers, the whole goal of the evolutionary process for a human being is to return to the Source Whence we Came and to be aware of it.  It seems that on our journey back to the Source we would need to transcend our lesser identifications in order to be able to include the larger ones. Rather like removing sheaths of substance to reveal what lies beneath and behind all of it.

Most humans learn very early on that they are not their body, that they are using a body, but are much more than the physical. Some humans are learning that they are not their emotional makeup either. Emotions change and are outlived all the time. What we emotionally react to or not changes as we grow. Some humans have also learned that they are not their minds. Ideas and perceptions change, arise and end sometimes quite dramatically in any given life. Therefore we are much more than all these three temporal ‘bodies’.  To understand that there are many people on the planet right now who are the victims of their own limited identifications is to have profound compassion for them, and that understanding gives us the tools with which to help.

The more we identify with the spiritual part of ourselves and later the overshadowing Spirit of All Things, the less we identify with those smaller aspects of ourselves. One Perfect Day we are told, we will realize that we ARE the All, for there is nothing but that. This is the “I am that I am” experience, similar to Krishna’s “having pervaded the entire Universe with a fragment of myself, I remain”. Once that has been experienced, we also realize that we are parts of the All as well, even the 'illusory forms' we left behind, retaining the capacity to use those lesser identifications should we need to use them.

If we were able to function with the consciousness of Deity, what would we do with the present situation on our planet? Perhaps we would realize that all the many life forms to be found here are all part of a grand Cosmic evolutionary process set in motion with a specific Purpose in mind, and each part of the Cosmos, including our little planetary life and indeed each individual within that planetary life, is a necessary part of that process.  Each part is at a certain stage of growth and possessed of a certain set of realizations. We would know that these stages of growth and series of realizations are parts of an ongoing process, and that this process can be stimulated and helped and thus accelerated by that which is higher than itself.  It then becomes our sacred duty to assist any life form that we can reach using the energies of our own higher natures.  From this viewpoint all differences between ourselves and any other form of life vanishes.

If we examine ourselves and our own lives from this perspective, we realize that it becomes our duty to search for the highest recognition that we ourselves are capable of achieving and to continually turn back and share what we have discovered. By being who and what we are, we have an effect on all we contact. By increasing the light within ourselves we increase the light available on the planet. By enlarging our perceptions about who and what we are, by striving to know the unknown, we affect everything around us; thus all planetary substance is lifted and enhanced.    

There are many Light Bearers present on the planet, in varying stages of understanding and identification, cooperating in the process of our Earth and all its kingdoms of nature becoming a shining reflection of Divinity in action.  Each in their own way, within their own sphere of influence, affect every life form they contact, thus expanding ever enlarging pools of light throughout our planetary life. The Higher Purpose that is being achieved has cosmic significance. Therefore, to be aligned with what is good for the Whole is to be aligned with the ultimate purpose, even if individual human beings are unable as yet to understand its entire scope.

Our little home in space, the Earth, is a part of that grand enterprise and can and will be changed through human minds, hearts and actions.  It is up to those of us who are working towards increasing Light on Earth to see that our work furthers the cause of Humanity—The Brotherhood of Mankind, and thus furthers the cause of the Whole of which we are a part. How can we enlarge our own perceptions and also help others to see the larger picture?  One way is to always judge our actions and decisions based on what is good for the Whole.  Some of the ways that humanity's thinking can be enlarged and transformed is through true education that has the Whole as its underlying foundation. It can also be transformed through true religion that has the Whole as its guiding principle, and includes the facts that science has now proven about the reality of our Universe and what it means in planetary and human terms. Human thought can be transformed through enlightened statesmanship that takes the Whole into account when formulating policies, and in every other field of human endeavor where those who are working for the good of the Whole are helping to increase the light on earth.  Since we now know that there is nothing but energy—and that includes the energies of thought, of speech, of emotion, and action—it is very literally true that we affect our earth and indeed the entire energetic expression we call the Universe with every thought, word and deed.   

Light can and will dispel the darkness that is also present if we are willing to use the Will to Good as the motivating impulse of all of our actions.  The Will to Good provides the strength and stamina to see our task through despite all obstacles, and uses the techniques of light, or enlightened thought, and love or goodwill that stimulates and strengthens the connection with the higher nature of all those we can reach.

The forces of light will bring victory with the aid of enlightened men and women from every country working together to create a new wave of human thinking.  This thinking will inaugurate an Era of Opportunity, Illumination, and Brotherhood.  There are many men and women of goodwill in the world from all walks of life who are hungry for the truth and seeking answers that will unite us.  The recognition of the essential unity underlying all of creation is the guiding principle that will lead us out of the darkness of the present time.

Imagine the MIND of all that is ceaselessly sending out its silent Purpose, and the HEART of all that is ceaselessly pumping LIFE into its creation.  We, as cells within that great body, are the receivers of that LIFE, and the more we open ourselves to it the more we receive.  If we open ourselves to receive it in its full significance we receive the Power to accomplish the miracles we were sent here to do.  Knowing that it is all one Whole allows us to work by never causing harm to any part of that One Life. Using only the techniques of Truth, Light, Love and Will we stimulate every form that we touch. One step, one thought, one word, and one deed at a time, let us aspire to our Highest nature and together let us help transform the Earth.
