HEIDI ROSE ROBBINS is a professional astrologer, workshop facilitator, and poet. In Los Angeles, Heidi teaches classes on 'Charting New Ways to Live Love,' which help students achieve more creativity and intimacy through heart-centered living and an understanding of their astrological charts. For over 10 years she has run a thriving astrology practice, and endeavors to provide a sensitive, practical-minded approach to soul-centered astrology both in her teaching and individual consultations. Last year, she performed a well-received evening of original poetry at the Bodhi Tree Annex in Los Angeles. She lectures frequently at the Los Angeles Center for the Healing Arts in Santa Monica, and this fall will begin teaching an ongoing astrology class in Seattle. She lives in Los Angeles with her husband, Andrew Heffernan, and their three-year-old daughter, Kate Robin.
Heart-Centered Astrology

Let us practice love

Let us practice love.
Let us make loving a practice.
We are all complicated, quirky and imperfect.
We are all also vessels capable of invoking
Receiving and pouring forth the most potent
Transformative force in the world-
Love.
Let us practice love.
Let us train to be warriors of love.
Let us be ferocious lovers in the face of all that is crumbling.
Let us embody a love fierce and forgiving enough to
wash away despair, cynicism and self-neglect.
Let us learn to love one another by
Steadfastly practicing.
I, for one, want to learn to love the woman in the post office
Who yelled at me across the room because my daughter
Was on the counter.
I want to practice loving my friend who easily becomes trapped in negativity.
I will fail again and again.
We will all fail again and again.
We will want to throw up our hands in
Exhaustion, frustration and disbelief.
Be we can do otherwise.
We can always do otherwise.
We can open our arms like wings and give our heart
The space to extend, to lead the way.
It is time to acknowledge the invisible,
Make manifest the energetic thread that unites us.
It is time to begin to SEE one another,
To LISTEN to one another, to SOFTEN to one another,
To RECEIVE one another until all the protective layers
Masking our true, radiant selves
begin to fall away.
My vision for humanity is that we each
Courageously take on the work we know we must do
Within ourselves, so that we can purely, simply, potently
Offer our gift of love.
Let us love ourselves that we may do our work.
Let us love one another.
Let us love humanity of which we are a part.
Let us practice love.
