"Everything on earth is subject to the laws of evolution, In my vision of the future, the Soul of humanity is awakening and entering the world. The soul's emergence gives rise to a growing awareness of the oneness and sacredness of our planetary Life, which becomes reflected in the way people live on our small globe. A new stage of consciousness unfolds, creating the foundation for a new civilization based on universality and inclusiveness-qualities innate to the soul. As this new spirit encircles the globe, a kingdom of souls begins to materialize on Earth, embodying the dictum: as above, so below. Such a world may seem light-years away, yet seeds of it are already becoming visible. Signs of a new consciousness emerging from within the depths of the human race can be seen everywhere. We can find them on the Internet if we know where to look, and we can see them increasingly on the evening news. There is a growing concern for humanity as a whole-and for the fate of our planet-which testifies to the awakening of millions of human souls to their higher nature. This time of awakening was long ago predicted in sacred texts and spiritual teachings. For millennia, prophets have foreseen the end of an age of materialism and the birth of an age of spiritual light. In this transitional time, we are witnessing both death and birth simultaneously. Devastation and destruction still dominate the headlines, but we also see mounting evidence of soul awakening. There is a growing understanding of the nature of the soul and its path of evolution, along with a steady rise in acts of altruism and compassion-signs that the soul is consciously identified with others. Since the start of this millennium, there has been a dramatic and conspicuous rise in examples of altruism. Actions that were once nearly unfathomable, such as individuals voluntarily donating organs of their bodies to strangers, are now a part of our cultural reality. A willingness to give up comfortable lives in the cause of eradicating malaria in Africa or protecting elephants in Asia is no longer all that rare. The impulse to mitigate the suffering of others arises within the soul realizing its interconnectedness with all beings. Just as soul awareness transcends the limits of space (i.e., race, culture, geography), it also transcends our limited notions of time. The growing acceptance of the reality of rebirth is another sign of soul awakening. The ancient Eastern idea that we have lived before is spreading in the West, along with the understanding that the soul evolves through many lifetimes of experience, in accordance with the laws of karma. In the future it will be widely understood that the incarnate soul reaps what it has sown in the past, in the goal of achieving spiritual perfection-a condition defined as the dissolution of all barriers to the realization of oneness. As soul consciousness grows, so does the individual's awareness of the oneness of life, or of "the One Life, as our planet is described in the wisdom teachings. It is said that an awareness of the inherent unity of life, in all its diverse manifestations, will be the defining characteristic of the coming age. The recognition that the life of our Earth is one entity that enfolds every living being, and that this Entity is itself evolving, will give rise to another realization: that there is a kingdom of life on Earth higher than the human kingdom. One of the main purposes of this higher kingdom, the spiritual kingdom or kingdom of souls, is to oversee the evolution of humanity. Members of this kingdom (considered the 5th kingdom in nature as humanity is the 4th) have perfected the human condition and have advanced to a higher plane of being. From this subtle, invisible plane, they guide the evolution of planetary life in accord with a divine plan that issues from an even higher dimension of our planet's life-a dimension where the Will of God is known. Through wisdom teachings transmitted to us by members of this kingdom of souls, we learn that there is an inevitability to our times. Steadily intensifying evolutionary forces are entering our planet in the goal of bringing about greater integration and synthesis. Old forms of civilization born of a separative consciousness, products of the age now ending, cannot withstand these incoming energies. With the destruction of these outgrown forms, the spirit within them is released, making way for the creation of new forms reflecting a new stage of human consciousness-the stage of the awakened soul. By recognizing the process in which our planet is engaged, we can view our times as a necessary prelude to what lies ahead for humanity and we can learn to cooperate with the evolutionary flow. We are being called upon to overcome the illusion of separateness, related to our identity as physical beings, and to realize our essential unity as spiritual beings-souls temporarily incarnate in physical forms.
